My journey began like so many others. I arrived in the UK from Karachi at 19 years old with big dreams and no connections. The early days weren’t glamorous: I juggled part-time work, struggled with culture shock, and collected hundreds of rejections before finally landing my first UK role.

But I learned something critical along the way: the UK job market is a system—and systems can be decoded.

From 500+ Rejections to Coaching Success

I faced over 500 rejections before securing a visa-sponsored role with KPMG UK as an Audit Graduate. The key wasn’t luck or fancy degrees. It was learning:

✅ How to write a UK-standard CV that passed automated filters
✅ How to approach professionals for advice, not just referrals

After KPMG, I joined Raindrop, a fintech startup, where I served as Growth Lead. There, I helped scale revenue from £6 million to £20 million in just over a year, honing my skills in marketing, growth strategy, and leadership in high-pressure environments.

But while I was building my own career, I never forgot how hard that first job was to get—and how many international students were going through the same struggle with even fewer resources.

I launched The UK Job Institute to make the playbook I wish I’d had available to anyone who needs it.

We focus on practical, proven strategies tailored for international students:

I regularly speak at universities, incubators, and events, teaching students how to turn what feels like a disadvantage into a competitive edge.

Why? Because I know firsthand that strangers who took the time to help me changed my life. My goal is to normalise asking for help—and prove that borders should never be stop signs.
